This is because wood that is varnished is recycled differently from plain wood or timber. It also ensures that hazardous wood is kept separate and treated in line with hazardous waste regulations.

Types of Wood Waste We Accept:

• Grade A – Clean Wood: Untreated Pallets, Joinery off-cuts, and Packaging Crates.
• Grade B – Construction & Demolition Wood: Floorboards, Roofing Timber, and Plywood that might be slightly contaminated.
• Grade C – Household Wood: Chipboard, MDF, Fencing Panels, Door & Window Frames, Decking, Furniture & other treated woods.

If you have a lot of wood waste, it is more cost-effective and time-effective, to hire a wood waste-specific skip.

How it works:

• You order a skip size to suit the amount of wood waste you expect your project to produce.
• We will deliver your skip to your site on the date arranged – our operators will place it in the most convenient location possible.
• You can fill the skip over the two-week hire period (longer can be prearranged if needed).
• We collect the skip and take the waste to our local recycling facility. We can replace the skip at the same time as collecting the full one if you need it.

If you have small amounts of wood waste, tipping with us is the most convenient way to recycle the material.

How it works:

• Find your local household recycling centre
• Load up your vehicle and head to the recycling centre
• Once at the facility, head to the wood waste bay and empty your waste
• Head back home
