W&S Donates Skip to Support #Willdoes Swanage Festival
Supporting Youth Mental Health Through Community Action
In September 2024, W&S Recycling was approached by the charity #Willdoes with a request to help manage waste from the upcoming SWANALULU FESTIVAL in Swanage, Dorset. In the spirit of community and social responsibility, W&S proudly supplied a 12-yard enclosed skip completely free of charge.
At W&S, we believe that children and young people are the future, and we are committed to supporting initiatives that help them thrive—especially those focused on mental well-being.
About #Willdoes and the SWANALULU Festival
#Willdoes is a remarkable charity founded in memory of a young boy named Will, who tragically took his own life in 2019 following a teenage argument. Since its inception, the charity has raised over £400,000 to support the mental health and well-being of young people—especially boys—through engaging activities and programs for those up to 25 years old.
A major highlight of the charity’s outreach is its mobile double-decker youth bus, which has become a popular, safe, and inspiring space for young people to gather.
To expand their impact, #Willdoes launched the SWANALULU Festival, a two-day event in Swanage aimed at raising awareness and funds for youth mental health. Local businesses are encouraged to get involved through sponsorships and promotional support.
This donation aligns with W&S’s strong focus on social value and giving back to the communities in which we operate. We’re proud to support charitable initiatives that truly make a difference in the lives of others. Learn more about our commitment to social responsibility on our dedicated Social Values page
